Privacy Policy

Huemood is a mood tracking app created by Maud. It has no account system. Your name, your email address and your Apple ID are never asked for and never stored.

What you write stays with you. The text of your notes and your labels is never sent anywhere. It stays on your device and in your own iCloud account, and I have no access to it.

Huemood does collect a small amount of anonymous usage data, described below, purely to understand how the app is used so that it can be improved.

Data Storage and Syncing

Everything you enter in Huemood, including your colours, your notes and your labels, is stored on your device and synced through your own iCloud account so it moves with you to a new device. That data stays within your personal iCloud account and is never accessible to me.

Anonymous Usage Data

To see which parts of Huemood people actually use, and to keep improving the experience, the app sends anonymous usage events. These cover how the app is used, including which screens are visited, which settings are changed, when a note is saved, and when a colour is logged for a day and which colour was chosen. They also include anonymous crash reports and basic technical details such as app version, device model, operating system, language and approximate region.

This data is anonymous. It is tied only to a randomly generated identifier created on your device. Because Huemood holds no name, no email address and no Apple ID, there is nothing in it that identifies you to me.

It is used for one purpose only: to understand how Huemood is used so the app can be made better. It is never sold, never shared for advertising, and never used to track you across other apps or websites.

Who Processes this Data

Anonymous usage data is processed on my behalf by PostHog, an analytics provider, on servers in the United States.

Your Choices

Deleting Huemood from your device stops all collection and removes the random identifier from your phone. If you have questions about any of this, or would prefer not to be included, please get in touch.
